About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get the feel of each place I visit. My aim in a new city is always to get as lost as possible and wander for hours.
ABOUT ME
I'm a friendly, confident and laid-back person but I'm also an obsessive planner - a habit I'm trying to kick and just go with the times a little bit more.
My main obsession is food, particularly street food but I'll also happily cook or splash out on a nice restaurant when I can. I'm lucky enough to live in London so there's plenty of options and it's just a case of dragging friends along with me.
I'm a big geek at heart, and love getting into heated debates, or just sitting and talking to someone about something they're passionate about. So long as my brain's working, I'm very happy.
When it comes to couch-surfing I'm pretty laid back. I'd love a couple of nights out with a friendly crowd, but I'm also not someone who expects to go out non-stop and most of the time I'm happiest just chilling out. And of course, I'm more than happy to rustle up a meal if that's any use!
PHILOSOPHY
If everyone is better off for having known you than not, you're doing OK.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I'm living at home which means I can't take surfers, but if anyone's in London and needs showing around I'm happy to help. When I get back from travelling I'm moving out and will try to accommodate as many on my sofa as I can.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was introduced to it by my old housemate who had the most amazing stories. As yet, I'm a complete newbie just trying to meet exciting people.
Interests
I'm a big fan of a good debate and like to get my teeth stuck into a new topic. I love food - I go to a street market every week and cook if I've got an evening in. I'm trying to take more advantage of London, mostly going to the theatre and public lectures, and nights out with friends (usually the stranger the better). I'm not super sporty but I'm active and I'll turn my hand to pretty much anything - I was really into horse-riding when I was younger but had to give up when I was around 15 as its very hard to do properly in London. Now I ride for about a week a year, normally somewhere abroad where they're less uptight about it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have terrible taste in music - if I can sing to it, I'm happy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Galloping through the Atacama desert in Chile. It's completely stunning.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really good at maths if anyone needs help with that! I'm more academic than anything else, but I guess I could probably share a thing or two about food.
