About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learning about new languages, people and cultures.
ABOUT ME
Now that I have (finally!!) finished my studies, I really want to travel this incredible Earth of ours and meet as many interesting people as possible.
I enjoy volunteer work, and every summer I try to travel to Caux (in the Swiss mountains) to work as a volunteer interpreter for Initiatives of Change. Doing this has really broadened my horizons, and enabled me to meet a whole host of inspiring individuals.
PHILOSOPHY
A rolling stone gathers no moss.
Treat others the way you would expect to be treated.
Do something nice for someone every day, from a gesture as small as smiling at someone on a bus, and you'll be a happier person.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I don't have much time to host, but would love to meet people with similar interests. I would be more than happy to show people around Toulouse :)
I would love to start surfing and discovering new places.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed twice, and had great experiences both times. This project really restores faith in humanity, and proves that people can be really selfless and kind.
Interests
Drama: favourite playwright ever has to be Edward Albee.
I'm an avid reader, and always have a book in my bag.
I enjoy swimming and dancing.
Since purchasing my lovely red bike this year, I have also recently got into cycling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books I love: The Life of Pi, L'étranger, Mémoire Blessé, The Millenium trilogy, Beloved...
My music taste is centred around (ahem) 90s brit pop, do I really need to elaborate?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At the IofC conference in Caux, I met a Kenyan lawyer who had given up his successful firm for a year in order to ensure 'clean' elections in his country. He was one of the most inspiring people I've ever met.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have started to learn Spanish- any teachers?
For any would-be translators out there, a good place to gain some experience and contribute to a great cause is by volunteering with Translators without Borders.
Countries I’ve Visited
Andorra, Austria, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom
