About Me

Hello, there :)

My birth name is Ludmila and I’m 23 years old.

I used to live as a normal society person in São Paulo.
When I left my “old life”, I was working with marketing in a really nice company, I had my apartment in a nice neighborhood and everything was going fine as everyone expected from me.

Well, that was my life until October 2018, when I had some different experiencies with a group of people in Atacama Desert. The fact that these experiences happened in my life made me realize that I wanted something different than what I was having.

I concluded that happiness is more than being exactly what you learn as right or wrong. You can be whatever you want, where you want and the way that you want, that in the end, everything is going to be just fine, as it is.

So, when I was back to Brazil I couldn’t live my life the way that I was living before. My apartment was too big for me and my friend, who used to live with me, I had much more things than what I really needed and I wasn’t feeling that I was doing something to the world, to people. I need to feel that I’m doing something that makes peoples lives better.

I decided to live in the world, not having a day to come back, to work on volunteering programs with people, to live with less comfort and to see the other half of the world that I never met.

Nice too meet you :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m in couchsurfing because I want to meet new people and locals.
Why that?
Because to me, you really learn about a place that you are if you live like a local and you feel the difficulties, the food, the air...
That’s why I’m looking for someone to share with me a place to stay :)

One of the things that I learned the last year was: it’s easy to share things that you’re not going to miss in your life, but it’s really hard to share things that matters to you.

And thats the reason that I really appreciate people that opens theirs houses to receive us. Because it’s not like sharing a cloth that you’re not going to wear anymore. It’s like sharing the only place that you have to live! <3

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a volunteer work at Brazilian Amazon, in a place called Lago de Acajatuba.

In this place, we exchanged our knowledge with a small community of people that lives from and for the forest.

It’s so hard to explain in words what that experience meant to me, but working with them and being at the forest for some days really changed my life.

I realized that I had so much too learn compared to what I had to teach. And that’s the most amazing on life. We can learn from everybody and from everything, we just need to be open to new experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share

In my trip, with me, I’m taking a XEQUERÊ.
It’s a percussion instrument from Amazon, that makes a really beautiful sound. I can teach my new friends from the trip how to use it.

I really love to do sports and the ones that I most like to play are soccer and volleyball. The others I’m up to learn!

I really like Acroyoga too!!

I looooove to dance, funk (Brazilian style), samba and other types of music in general. I would love to learn some cultural dances!

And I’m a fan of meditation. More specific Osho’s Meditation. We can do a small group of meditation anytime you want!

But I think the most important thing is I want to share my thoughts and what I have learned in my life and listen to people’s lives histories too. For me, conversations and connections with people moves me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my life!

My ways of living, what I heard about people that I met on my journey, my goals, my experiences in Brazil and what I want for my life.
