Overview
About Me
I am a French litterature and humanities teacher, beginning my PhD in ancient greek in September 2019. I can be pretty talkative, in several languages, though I may sound weird because of my accent (French people don't always make the best speakers). I love learning languages, and there's no better practice method than trying to communicate with native speakers. When I can't, I try installing my videogames in different languages. Too bad I can't do that in latin, or in ancient greek : I've taught latin to middle schoolers, but I haven't practiced Plato's language for some time, and it's starting to show. ^^"
Litterature and history enthusiast : I will gladly hear about local history, traditions, and legends. Everywhere is fascinating in that regard.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to discover places, people and languages I don't know ; when I no longer live in a in such a tiny apartment, I may even be able to welcome someone in my home from time to time. It may happen soon (I hope) as I'm moving from Torcy to Toulouse.

Music, Movies, and Books
Mainly metal. Currently working on the ultimate "learn about history and litterature with Iron Maiden" playlist, which I procrastinate because I end up listening a whole bunch of other songs and bands. I do listen to other genres, just not as often.
I like all the books, fiction or not ! I learned to read with Harry Potter, si it has a special place in my heart. I know of a lot of classical French writers (it's my job, after all), but I do read more contemporary stuff, mainly in the Fantasy and Science-Fiction genres.
