I am a South African and currently I work and live in Kokshetau, the Republic of Kazakhstan. I teach English at one of the local universities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I want to travel and meet people. I have visited a few countries since 2010. I would like to host guest but due to my current situation it is difficult to do that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music, ballet, art, as long as it is not too abstract, and I play classical guitar for my own pleasure. I like movies marked "family". If I want to see something with violence or tragedy I turn to the news. There is enough of that there. It goes for the books that I like to read as well. I want to feel a better person after watching a movie or reading a book. I can mention that my most favourite book is my Bible. I know many people will not understand that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled with a BMW K1200RS from Istanbul over one of Turkey's most dangerous mountain passes to Tbilisi in the Republic of Georgia.
