Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In Antofagasta it can be tough to find a hotel room, and yet there are tons of people travelling through. So, I'd like to give interesting people a place to crash when they are rolling through town.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted a great guy in March and given the positive experience, I am ready for more. Come on down!
Interests
I am an avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In fact, whenever I travel I try to see if there is a place where I can train. This has been a great way for me to meet nice people. I would not have moved to Antofagasta if there wasn't a BJJ club here (or maybe I would have started it).
I also enjoy cooking and cooking with friends. I enjoy eating the food even more than cooking it, and its even better with good company. Trying new restaurants is a lot of fun, and going back to really good ones is great too. I wasn't much into wine until I moved here, now I love the stuff. So great here!
Getting back into board games so if you like to play let me know!
I'm always interested in new experiences and will try just about anything once.

Music, Movies, and Books
There's a few. Lately, some good cookbooks.
Movies: lots of sci fi and fantasy. I also like silly movies.
Music: could be anything. I really like a lot of different types. I know it when I hear it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It must be that my favorite things are related to nature. Maybe its because I've just been reminded of that trip, but the sites in Chiapas were amazing. Waterfalls and rivers that I have never seen anywhere else. Likewise, near Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic there are some amazing rivers (not to mention beaches).
The Atacama desert is a stark contrast to the above. Driest place in the world, and yet an impressive site, with its own beauty.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am bilingual in english and spanish. I'm always willing to teach someone willing to learn. Anyone want to teach me some Mandarin?
I am also a brazilian jiujitsu instructor. Love this art. Want to try it?
I know how to cook and know a lot about nutrition.
I would like to learn to meditate.
