About Me

Hey! I’m Luis, im a Chilean traveller. My passion is to meet new people and cultures while i travel the world, most of the time with my bike.

Im open minded and i like to discuss a broad variety of topics, especially music, films, gastronomy and history.
Im friendly and optimistic, i have a lot to offer -mostly jokes- always with respect of others.

I have a degree in environmental biology, wild animals are a huge topic for me. I love birdwatching and just being in the stuning nature.

I talk fluidly in español and english, and im currently learning french. I can understand portuguese and italiano, but im not the best at talking them. Also i mix all these languages into a weird/cool new way to talk

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to not feel like a tourist, for me is very important to -at least try to- feel like a local. Also i love talking with new people and share experiences related to travel and adventure. Also i really want to practice my french and my english.

One movie “Relatos Salvajes” an Argentinian film
One song “Going to california” Led Zeppelin
One book “100 años de soledad” Gabriel Garcia Marquez

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My last travel was early this summer, i did Madrid - Toulouse with my bicycle. But in 2023 i tried to do this crazy ultracycling challenge called Paris-Brest-Paris. Just 1200k in 90h that i couldnt finish. After that i did Toulouse - Lyon and Genova - Bologna, by bike.
Early this year i did half Carretera Austral, a chilean road in Patagonia, with stuning views and wildness all around.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach bad words in chilean spanish, how it is to travel with a minimalistic bikepacking gear and my way of life. I want to learn about history, experiences, and to talk like a native french ulalá jaja.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Spain, United States
