About Me

Born and raised in Tijuana, México, so I'm a little bit banda--and a little bit metalcore! Also, Anzaldúa. And Jorge Drexler. And, and, and! I have a love-hate relationship with history books but I still read them, a lot. The same goes for the social sciences. I also enjoy reading fiction, which is what I studied in college, they tell me. Politics are kind of my sports. I'm known to attend plays, concerts and marches from time to time; go on long hikes and camp, preferably with an expanded mind; sip a good libation; eat unknown foods in different places; meet people from other countries and cultures; and travel, always travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling whenever possible. And over the years, I've met many wonderful people through this community, by way of friends who hosted, and I feel it's about time that I started hosting myself. ¡Bienvenid@s!

Music, Movies, and Books

As cliché as it sounds, I listen to a little bit of everything sometimes. It depends on the place, time and mood. That said, I tend to listen to Latin American singer-songwriters, reggae in English and Spanish, rap in all languages, technical metal, and whatever else catches my attention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Como buen mexicano de la frontera norte, primero viví en la capital estadounidense y luego visité la Ciudad de México, donde resulta que me siento como en casa.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I don't know is much vaster than the little I do know. But I'm happy to share the little that I do know and, above all, to learn.
