I was born and raised in Costa Rica, but am of Asian decent. I grew up with an American step father and in American schools, so I am a Latina/Asian/American cultural mutt. As a professional firedancer/ psychologist, I embody some unexpected extremes. My therapy clients would never guess I am a fiery daredevil performer, and my fireshow audience would never guess I have a doctorate and am a spiritual healer.

I am currently traveling through the United States going from California towards North Carolina. I hope to stop along the way and street perform (busk) to fund my journey.

Interessi

I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and am interested in seeking meaning and purpose in life. I have had a drastic career change in the last years and left my last job as an elementary school psychologist to become a professional firedancer. I currently direct Pyrodanza, a crew of international top notch firedancers.
At first my pursuit of spiritual understanding was very philosophical, intellectual, and analytical, but now it has become intuitive and artistic using my sense of love and appreciation of beauty as a guide. I enjoy sunshine, the beach, nature, animals, and physical activity. I love dirtbiking, scuba diving, basketball, dancing, camping, target shooting, working out, and of course, traveling.

I've been to a lot of cool places and have done some very unique things along the way, but for me, the most amazing accomplishment has been to let go of a "good job" with regular pay and free myself from the 9-5 system to live the life of a traveling artist.

I still use what I learned in psychology to live consciously and help others indirectly or directly if they wish. I can teach all sorts of firedancing techniques involving staffs.
