I love traveling and meeting people from all over, and luckily I've had the opportunity to do so. In addition, I know that sometimes the best experiences come by through interactions with the local folk. I'm a science nerd, but I love reading and music, and going to museums, eating good food, and getting lost in new cities :)

For movies and books I like a little bit of everything, for example documentals, action movies, mysteries, and definitely sci-fi. Some of my favorites are:
Searching for Sugarman, Harry Potter books, Sherlock Holmes, Agatha Christie, Phillip Pullman, The Sun Also Rises, All the King's Men, Catcher in the Rye, Ishmael.
As far as music, it's also very eclectic. I was very much into oldies rock n' roll when I was younger (The Who, The Clash, Rolling Stones), then as a teenager I went through a more punk phase, and then into my young adulthood I began to listen to more folksy/independent artist.

I can teach Spanish, cook, I'm obsessed with US politics at the moment, so I can definitely keep up a conversation on that.

I can share stories about my culture. I'm from Mexico City, but I grew up in the United States, so I can share a bit of both cultures. I can also teach Spanish, or talk about science and chemistry :P I love talking about books, movies, and sharing new music :)
