About Me
I identify as non- binary , gender non confirming but I am not hung up on pronouns .Even tho I was born in Mexico, I've lived most of my life in the US. I prefer to host people who are open minded . In my experience , it’s a better engagement than with conservative people , but I won't turn you down purely on the basis of you being conservative :)
I am easy going, I enjoy learning about other cultures thru conversations.
I believe that the Couchsurfing experience must be pleasant for both the host and the guest. At the risk of sounding picky, I am going to list some basic expectations of my guest:
*Personal Hygiene. My smell sense is quite sensitive, therefore I appreciate if a guest maintains good personal hygiene. Unfortunately I've had guests who didn't shower throughout their stay ( 4 days).
My intention is not to discriminate but if you are a backpacker, please make sure you do not bring a bag of dirty clothes into my apartment.
*Mind your manners. While some things may be acceptable where you live and come from, keep in mind you are most likely exploring a culture that may see those actions as rude or disgusting. Blowing your nose over the bathroom sink AND not cleaning it, brushing your teeth over a kitchen sink, not cleaning the sink after shaving, expectations that I am a maid and you can leave a mess for me to pick up are not acceptable.
Please come prepared with your own towel and toiletries.
SIDE NOTE: I understand that being a loud snorer is something hard to control. If you are aware that you are a particularly loud snorer ,please refrain from sending a request. I've had some sleepless nights due to a guest loud snoring.
*Explore ! You came to discover the city, so please do so. LA has options for so many interests, I am sure the last thing you wanna do is to spend all day in my livingroom as I work from home. If I have the time, I will happily offer to tag along on your city exploration. :)
When in doubt , please ask, before you take action.
Due to my apartment building rules I am not able to share my apt keys and not allowed to leave guests on their own , therefore if at anytime I have to be out on errands or meetings, I'd ask the guest to explore the city or go for a stroll on Hollywood Blvd , which is two short blocks away.
If you decide you are not going to eat out as frequently, you are free to buy your own food and use any of my cooking utensils and cook at my place :)
Because I do not own a dishwasher I would ask to clean your dishes right after.
