Hey! I'm Luis and I'm 19 years old. I finished high school last summer, and I am currently taking a gap year to travel before entering college. I am originally from Mexico, but I lived for the past 6 years in the US. Last semester I made a trip with two of my cousins in Europe, but now I'm going solo on a new adventure in South America! I hope to be able to lear and share as much as I can about my and others' life! I truly appreciate my country's culture and everything it has to offer, and I am sure I will get the same experience out of any place I visit!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to be able to get the most out of my gap year before college. That means truly absorbing the foreign cultures I visit which I think is easier by staying with local hosts :)

Interests

I love anything that has to do with art and design including painting, photography, illustration, and graphic design. In fact, I plan to major in graphic design when I go to college! I also love running and hiking; anything that has to do with nature, being outdoors, and traveling really.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love alternative and indie music most. Edward Sharpe, The Lumineers, The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, Woodkid, Cold Play, and Pink Floyd!
My favorite movie series will always be Harry Potter. I also love The Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight, Cloud Atlas, etc.
My favorite books are also of course the Harry Potter series. I mostly read non-fiction science books though...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Any time I have hiked a hill or a mountain to the top to be able to see the panoramic landscape has been an amazing experience.

I can teach anyone English or Spanish if needed. I can also help with cooking, but I am vegetarian so I don't know how to prepare meat :(
