Hi, I'm Lukáš, but people usually call me Luke. I'm from Czechia, and since here we have a beautifull nature with mountains and forests, I love mountaineering, hiking and climbing. I basically need to spend a lot of time outside otherwise I feel incomplete :). So I'm doing multiple-days log hikes. Ideally on not well known places, and unpleasant weather, so there isn't much people.

My big dream is to cross the Pacific Crest Trail in the USA. But now, I absolutelly enjoy visiting europe states and ecploring their nature and meeting people. I believe I'm pretty experienced in many outdoors activities. I'm scout with all my heart. So maybe I can show or teach you something usefull. Besides that I really like music and all sports generally. I'm really into sharing or making anything with people.

I'm allways laughing at things and not worrying about everything that isn't important. I absolutely love humor, allways following the Czech saying "There has to be fun, even if you couldn't afford a bread". Yeah it's silly, but you must understand, that we Czechs are like that. It's part of our culture (good one). What I really enjoy is nihilistic and slight self-humiliating humor (but me, I'm stoic). Therefore unfortunatelly, if we meet, I think you will experience some "Sorry, another stupid joke, I can't help myself" with me, so sorry for that :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling, especially when it's kind of raw, spontaneous and low budget. I normally enjoy sleeping outdoors, but while wisiting towns it's better this way. I don't really enjoy hotels nor car camps or so. And I really, really like meeting new people while travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I love music and love when I can have fun with it and share it with others. My favorite genres are metal and rock. But overall, I like bands that do their music a little differently and gives something special into it. It's a much more interesting and fun experience. I also play guitar in a small crossover metal band called Abused & Neglected :).
My favourite bands are:
1. TOOL (progressive metal) ... their music is hard and at the same time soft and precisely finished to perfection. It's fun how psychedelic it is and that even 12 minutes long songs are bangers from the beginning to the end. I consider it art.
2. Avatar (melodic deathmetal) ... they are completely crazy lol. I like their concept albums.
3. Nine Inch Nails (industrial rock) ... every album released is several years ahead in everything and it's such creative.
4. Rage Against The Machine (rock-rap crossover?) ... great combination. Their sound is as raw as possible and I appreciate that they have their message.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hitch-hiked alone across the Norway and met many incredible people. It totally changed my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Absolutelly not skating... haha, I suck.

But I can teach you how to play guitar, or share some travelling tips. And I can fix your antenna, walk a dog and replace lightbulbs. I love dogs... and antennas :).

I would like to learn how to cook lol. And we can share embarrassing stories.
