About Me

Hi! I'm an easygoing southwest-american freezing my butt off (& lovin it) in Canada. I need to get a better couch before I can host again but I'm happy to meet up and show you around this great city. I'm always down to go out and try something new and I keep up with all kinds of local events, especially art and music related.

I've been on couchsurfing for a few years but my old account was with an ex so I disabled it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love this city and showing it off to visitors. I'm all about paying it forward and being part of a community. I'm also into the idea of free-form traveling and making friends at every stop along the way.

Interests

I've been drawing and painting my whole life, that's what I'm all about. I play some music too. I like philosophy more than politics but like delving into either. I love animals, cats and dogs and everything in between (cogs??). Street art, getting lost, museums, impulsively going to a show

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rap, electronic, experimental stuff.. anything that sounds unfamiliar and jarring I am interested.
Movies: Martin Scorsese the boss, old scifi.. Star Wars, Bladerunner. David Lynch movies. Same with music, anything weird or memorably unusual.
Books: I read anything, I read constantly. Favorite book is Anna Karenina. Non-fiction, classics, contemporary, scifi, you name it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Explored an abandoned hospital in central Hong Kong in the middle of the night.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can speak French and German near-fluently. Usually down to trade books! I like to cook and bake, we can trade recipes.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food, advice, books, sketches, a pleasant evening of hot chocolate and trading travel stories. Hopefully soon I will have a rad new couch to share.
