I'm a musician and sound engineer, living in Hanover, Germany. I love great art, a good talk, good food and inspiring places. I like taking my time: listening to a whole record, doing a long hike, spending time in a museum or just sitting and talking).

I'm back in Hannover now and want to give something back as a host since I've had so many great experiences as a surfer on my recent US trip. Unfortunately my hosting situation is a little complicated with four roomates and it's hard to get everyone on board. But just hit me up and we'll see if something works out.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm not much of a tourist bucketlist guy, I'd much rather see and experience how people live in different places of the world. I also like giving recommendations for the funny little and kind of underrated town of Hanover.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: some good old indie-rockish stuff (Mac Demarco, Ultimate Painting, Andy Shauf etc.) and the oldschool stuff (Beatles, Lennon solo, The Band) , some of the 80s revival stuff, some actual 80s (secret yacht rocker), some german music (Rheingold, Kraftwerk, NEU!, Harmonia, Tocotronic, International Music), some austro-pop (Bilderbuch, Wanda), some odd ends (a lot stuff that's released by light in the attic records). Recently getting into ambient and minimal stuff (Briano Eno - Apollo, Hans Otte - Book of sounds) and finally Hip-Hop. Yes, i like music.

Everything that has to do with the Cohen Brothers, Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, Sofia Coppola and Bill Murray.

David Foster Wallace, Franz Kafka, Harry Potter (always!) and loads of other stuff i.e. "1913" by Florian Illies or "L'Étranger" by Camus. Currently reading Anne Franks diary.
