Hey ! So I'm Luke. I'm twenty two and have just finished university in Dublin, and now am wondering what to do next. I am a History nerd, and I like to read and watch good movies such as 12 Twelve Angry Men. I never know what to say on these things, I'm a chatty enough type, as long as the convo doesn't suck obviously. Oooh also I'm very sensitive to people's annoyances, and this is particularly valuable couch-surfing trait. I will pay my way in non-monetary ways, like tidying up, and bringing the craic, or something like that!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I am about to move to Lyon where I will have no where to live for a while, until I find a place, and also because couch-surfing seems like a great way to avoid accommodation costs

Interests

Studied History for 4 years so can string out a lil ping-pong on historical topics. I like politics and current affairs (as in following and discussing them) I like reading as well, and all sorts of other things that I cannot think of right now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now I'm listening to a lot of the Flaming Lips, but they can be bit much sometimes. Music with good lyrics I like, so Bob Dylan, Leanord Cohen, Patti Smith are all up there. Sometimes when I'm partying i like to listen to more funcy electronic stuff like LCD Soundsystem, or Hot Chip. I am also a big fan of Tame Impala, and many more !!
Movies, I like comedy, but also great plots, like crime movies(the departed, or inception) movies that grip you. but to be honest im not really genre specific when it comes to movies.
Books I like ones with an emphasis on human psychology i guess, with realisic storylines . one of my favourite books is a portait of a lady by Henry James. I kinda like books from the past too, like Vanity Fair, or Crime and Punishment. Classics I guess. but more modern stuff too, like Elena Ferrante or Colm Toibin.
