About Me

Relatively new to couchsurfing - Just finished my biology degree in Dublin (my home city). I'm planning on moving to England in October. I love making new friends. I think I'm definitely a good conversationalist, and I don't take myself too seriously. I'm also no stranger to sleeping on floors 💤😅

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My main interest is new experiences with new people. The part of travel that I like most is getting to know new people and seeing other people's perspectives on their areas.

Interests

I started caving/spelunking 3 years ago in Ireland. I've been involved with caving long enough that I've started teaching beginner cavers (although I'm not sure how much I trust myself at teaching). I'd love to go caving abroad at some point but I've never managed to organise a trip outside Ireland 🇮🇪.
I'm also a massive science nerd, and I'm particularly interested in microbiology. I'm actually starting a PhD in October where I'll be researching algae. I absolutely love finding people to talk science with 🦠🧫
I've been playing piano almost all my life, but I was always more interested in playing classical music than listening to it. I've pretty much only played classical music but I keep meaning to get around to something a bit more modern 🎹 🎶

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music genre is indie rock, and i listen to a big variety of different artists. Right now my favourite artist is Somebody's Child.
I tend to read a lot of fantasy and sci-fi books as well. I love a good memoir but I don't get around to reading them very often.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swam by torchlight in an underground river.

What I Can Share with Hosts
