My names Luke, Im from a beautiful little beachside town called Newcastle in Australia.

Im a pretty chilled and easy going guy. I enjoy anything from sitting quietly with a book and a cup of coffee, to stumbling home with my ears ringing after a night of awesome live music.

Im on a tour of America to see the beautiful sights and meet the beautiful people before I have to commit to the grey existence of a comfortable and stable 9-5. JUST KIDDING, I work as a radio producer and love my job, a huge part of which is meeting and talking to people. In fact I've always had a genuine curiousity about the lives and thoughts of others which has lead me to meet and connect with a huge variety of people, so I always have questions to ask and an ear to listen!

Im one of those annoying people who like all the music... for the most part I'm listening to the lyrics (which is obviously going to rule out a few sludge metal/hardcore genres).

But yeah, I can enjoy anything from Bob Dylan to Biggie Smalls. I just want the lyrics to take me on a journey. I also play guitar so im a sucker for a good acoustic performance.

When it comes to books I read all sorts but recently I've been really getting into sci-fi novels. Not recent ones though, I love the classic works of asimov, H.G Wells and Orwell. I have a great respect for the science fiction writers who were talking about complex technologies and ethical issues around them, long before computers or rockets even existed. Especially in the case of George Orwell whose name's brought up in every discussion about internet privacy, despite him never even seeing a computer.... im ranting now, whoops.

Managed to get through a Euro-trip without going insane after having my passport, visa and railpass stolen around the halfway mark... that was a pretty big achievement I think.
