About Me

Hiya guys, I've been living in London on and off for the last couple years and happy to host people whenever you're in town if I'm around. I'm joining the couchsurfing party a little late but I'm told there's a great community on here so looking forward to meeting some good people. I'm working on a couple of plays in Leeds and London at the minute and travel around a bit for teaching jobs (I teach kids debating), so just check in a little in advance if you can to make sure I'm home when you need.

I work a lot, but outside of that am pretty relaxed and have a good group of varied, creative, and wonderful mates in and around London, so if you're trying to get an insight into life here you're welcome to come stay, hang out, and see what London is like first hand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

An old mate I used to live with in the U.S recommended it years ago and I never got round to it. Here I am a few years late looking to meet some great people. Hoping you can share some good stories with me, a cold cider, and hopefully I can help make your visit that bit better.

Music, Movies, and Books

Gonna have to give you one of each or else I'll be writing forever.

Music: favourite record, Astral Weeks - Van Morrisson
favourite live music, give me anything soul, funk, disco. A Hunee sorta gig.
Movies: I have horrible taste in films, Before Sunrise trilogy?
Theatre: Pinter.
Books: Chinua Achebe and Christopher Hitchens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Let's go two. Sold my school on ebay when I was a kid. Then a couple years ago I ran the Kilimanjaro marathon with no training all because a little kid asked me to. My knees will never forgive her.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love for anyone to come in with some recipes and show me your favourite dish - I'm no foodie but I love food, so could do with learning some cooking skills. I have a real mix of mates in London and across the UK so no matter what you're into, I reckon I'd be pretty good introducing you to people and getting you into the scenes you want to see first hand. As for sharing, pints?

What I Can Share with Hosts
