ABOUT ME

Luke grew up traveling all over the world with his family, living in Iraq for a couple years and in West Africa for almost four. Katie grew up in East Iowa on the Mississippi River. We got married in June, 2015. We both enjoy traveling and meeting new people. We love sharing and listening to stories, if you're a good story teller then we'll be great friends.

We're very laid back. We usually enjoy the small things the most - a drink at someone's home or the colors and smells of a place we've never been before. We joined CouchSurfing to meet new friends and learn from other travelers.

PHILOSOPHY

Loving others by helping and caring for them is the beginning of a happier life for ourselves. Life should be lived in light of eternity, and as Jim Elliot said, "He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose."

Luke joined up with Couchsurfing.com as a pioneer member years ago. We've just started Courchsurfing together as a married couple.

Music - Luke plays the guitar and loves world music, especially Malian and Indian music. Katie loves music of all kinds.
