ABOUT ME

I'm originally from New Zealand and moved to Australia a few years ago, first to Melbourne, now Sydney. I work for an airline, so I have the opportunity to travel lots, which is awesome. When I travel, strive to experience my desinations, especially in countries off the beaten track, and I like to take a piece of that culture back with me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed in Cyprus, Syria, Russia and Holland, and I have hosted surfers from Germany, France and the UK when I was in Melbourne. My current living arrangements make it hard to host, but I'm open to meet up, or give advice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed coast-to-coast of Russia, thats about 7,500 km from Sakhalin to Kaliningrad. Amazing experience, have to go back one day to see the rest.

Interests

I love food and drink and enjoy cooking, have spent most of my employment life in hospitality. Really into music and culture. I grew up playing rugby, but I enjoy most kinds of football type sports, as well as snow sports. I am a competitive Dragon Boat racer, which I compete at a state level, and enjoy other forms of canoeing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a massive fan of music, I enjoy most genres and enjoy small concerts of "undisovered" bands. I enjoy reading but dont do enough of it, I'm into mysteries and biographies. As for movies, I'm into Guy Ritchie or Tarantino type films, and quite partial to comedies and a few classics.
