About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world and meet new people, as simple as that.

ABOUT ME

I am an American college student going into my fourth year. I love to do road trips in the US but I am very interested in exploring the other cultural spheres of the world. I am a Chinese Major at school and I am very interested Asia (mostly China, Japan and Korea). I have family in Australia, England and Ireland and I am Irish-German by descent so I very much want to explore Europe and Australia. I have always been interested in geopolitics, history and culture and right now I just really want to get out and see new places and new people.

PHILOSOPHY

I live to expand myself and to see as much of the world and what it has to offer as I can

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am strapped for cash so I really need to find cheap lodging for my travels. My schoolmate, Ian Balczewski, is accompanying me on our European adventure.

Interests

I love racing, mostly F1 and MotoGP, I have only dragraced and ridden streetbikes myself. I play a lot of videogames and I am a bit of a movie-addict. James Bond is my hero but I love all film equally. Need to find more time for reading but I have a substantial bit of literature, Hemingway will always be my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few things come to mind but one of my favorites was spending the weekend at the Laguna Seca MotoGP race. I love motorcycles and it was one of the best experiences of my life to be with all the fans and the riders. I was able to see and do so much, I got closer to the race than I ever thought I would. Those guys are Gods of speed and it was an awesome experience.
