About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the most of my time.

ABOUT ME

I have had my profile for a while but I haven't invested as much time as I could or should have into it, I have been travelling for a while now and intend to keep on doing so. Big plans but they always seem to be changing, I am a bit of a foodie so I enjoy trying new dishes, and will happily cook you a few that I know how to. I am no chef but my food is edible!

I am an avid reader, once I pick up a book I generally find it very hard to put down again, action/adventure books are probably my favourite. I would have to say my best loved author would probably be Clive Cussler as his were the first books I really started to enjoy.

PHILOSOPHY

Why do I live my life? To enjoy myself, be at home relaxing with my friends or jetting off to new countries. If we can't smile and have fun what is there left for us?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first got onto couch surfing as I saw it as a way to really get to know countries or areas you travel to. So far I have used it mainly to call in favours, leaving a bag in Bangkok through my Partner's couch surfing profile and catching a ride from Adelaide.

I will be giving back to couch surfing community as soon as I have a couch/bed/space to be able to!

Interests

Reading as I mentioned is probably my top interest when I am travelling, a book makes a great travel companion! I also enjoy watching EPL, Arsenal is my team.

I am also interested in history, although that is more of a backseat interest, I generally learn history as I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

New found love for country/folky music although I've not heard a wide variety of it what I have heard I enjoy. My favourite books however are as I mentioned Clive Cussler, the Dirk Pitt adventures and I like Khaleed Hoseeni too.

The most inspirational book I have read is Shantaram.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My most surreal moment would probably be in Kenya, volunteering in the Kibera slum and seeing how little they had but yet how happy they were. If everybody could appreciate what they had in the same way those Kenyans did this world would be a better place.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook a mean omelette and am happy to share my skills with anyone who is willing to learn! From time to time I will share a random fact as well, usually golden....

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer good conversation and a willingness to learn about the local area, I can put up a game of chess and generally with travel with a mini chess board. I will almost always have cards and am happy to teach you the few games I know!

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Cyprus, France, Greece, India, Italy, Myanmar, Portugal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United Kingdom
