About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To do no harm. Live in a way that reflects my values. Spread joy!
ABOUT ME
Well you know I like to travel and meet new folks. I can't imagine life without books, art and music. Talking about myself is boring, I'd rather hear about you. But you want to know, well: I sing for no reason, dance whenever I can and love to curl up with a good book. Cooking is pretty high on my list and no better way to share with new/old friends.
PHILOSOPHY
Do no harm. Live with integrity and have my actions reflect my values.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've just gotten started and my local community is the best! If you are in the area, come to one of our events. It's a neat crowd of people.
Late April, it was up the west coast from Sacramento. How did I participate, well by spreading the CS message of community. My first couch was in the Willamette Valley and it started with a Celtic music jam session. Could anything be better??? And I fell in love with the mother of the family. What can I say, I have good taste.
This trip makes me want to be a full member of my local community and make it the best place to surf.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed in Oregon and British Columbia, Canada, in the Kelowna area. My experience was both rural and urban. My experience has been just super. My hosts have shared their everyday experiences with me and I feel very lucky.
Interests
hiking, dancing, cooking, and just doing nothing! I'm very interested in food policy. I do community outreach for my local natural food co-op. Expanding organic food options for under served populations is important to me. Right now I'm concerned about keeping local organic farmland in the hands of farmers not developers.

Music, Movies, and Books
Science fiction, blues, jazz, just about every and anything. I'm reading a number on books on living frugally and with compassion. Right now I'm doing guided meditations from a Jack Kornfield CD. My latest musical love is William Eaton.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had to think about this one. The landing of my plane in Bukavu, the eastern part of Zaire/Congo. It was the moment that the color green came alive for me. The ground was a patchwork quilt of greens. The sun and air, created a cleanliness, that took my breath away. Nature was so wild and beautiful, the moment was stamped on my mind, so I can still go back to that moment. Beauty touched me, really touched me, and I exhaled and thought this is the mother.
