About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Save lives and see the world!

ABOUT ME

I'm a Cuban, American citizen (grew up in America), living and working in Japan (for the moment), so esentially I don't belong to nowhere! I'm a critical care nurse and even though my job is hard, and there are many thing that I dislike about it, I LOVE it and could not imagine being in another feild. I always say "I'm going to stay here for X# of years/months," but I'm usually on the move before the time is up. Even though they are so far away (and sometimes I want to keep them far away!), I love and admire my family and the sacrifices they've had to make. I'm still amazed by them and everything they have done!

PHILOSOPHY

Some people say "you only live once," but I'm here to live at least 3 or 4 times! I want to see and experience the world, learn about people, and not regret the things I did not do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Ursula K LeGuin, but don't really like sci-fi too much. I'm usually reading a classic, or whatever I can pick up at the library.

Listen to just about any kind of music. name a style, I probaly have at least a song or two. Many of my friends are musicians (outside of their "normal" lives) and they cover the gamut of punk, tropical, pop, electronic and opera.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

*Grand Canyon
*Cliffs of Moher
*Hang-gliding in North Carolina
*Scuba diving in Mexico
*Getting completely lost in the Louvre... somehow going from the basement to the thrid floor without even realizing it.
*Being "homeless" while moving to Japan... crashing on the couches/floors of family and friends, living in hostels/hotels, having the to wear the same 5 outfits for 3 months straight...
*Mountain biking in Belize, eating nuts off the jungle floor and getting eaten alive by mosquitos the size of quarters!
*Tokyo subway. During Rush-hour. Trully one of the more frightening things I've done.
*Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura during New Years
