ABOUT ME

My name is DeeAnne. I am a Kindergarten teacher. I am married with no kids. I love to travel, and learn about other cultures. I love languages...even if I don't understand the langauge, I just love to hear other people speak. I love my big state of Texas and I love the great USA....but I know the world is so much bigger. I want to see it all and experience it all. I am a dreamer......

PHILOSOPHY

Well, this is a loaded question. Expect the unexpected? ..... I guess my answer would be Jesus. I love the Lord with all my heart. Unfortunately, the way I live my life does not always show that....but that is my goal and everyday is a new day...right?
On a different note, I want to take a part of everyone I meet in life with me, but still be myself. I kinda think of who I am (or who I want to be) is a big giant melting pot of all the great people I have known in life combined with my personal history and my faith in Jesus. I don't let fear get in the way of anything I want to do in life. You have to take chances and risks in life or you will miss out on many amazing things.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met some cool people at a CS gathering in Antigua, Guatemala. I went with a local friend in Guatemala who is a member.

兴趣

I love to write...some of it is good, some of it is terrible, some of it I will share with many, and some of it no one else will ever see. I love to workout. I am a Crossfitt'er. If you don't know what Crossfit is, it would be too difficult to explain. I like to learn about langauges and cultures....mostly, I want to fluently speak Spanish! I love the language.

I love music. It can make you happy, sad, angry, or envious. It can make you remember, forget, or regret. It can make you think, wish, laugh, cry, or dance.
I like many different kind, depending on my mood. My favorite band is The Old 97's. You probably have not heard of them.

I really love to read, but as a graduate school student, my books are pretty limited to exciting titles such as : Essential Linguistics, Language Exploration and Awareness, Becoming the qualitative researcher....For pleasure, I like to read books by Jodi Picolt and the occassional best seller...but I rarely have time for that right now. I try to keep my Bible handy and read it as much as I can.

1.) The bright blue waves crashing on the dark black rocks in Maui, Hawaii.
2.) The beautiful Lago de Atitlan- three dormant volcanoes surrounding a beautiful lake Panajachel, Guatemala.
3.) The beautiful Mountains in the Eastside of the country (USA)
I have visited many beautiful places, but Guatemala is by far the most beautiful place I have ever visited. There is not just one place I can say was pretty....the whole country is amazing and the people were wonderful too.
