ABOUT ME

I am talkative, fun and spontaneous guy who loves to travel and meet new people. I love to laugh, have fun, explore, share stories and cook for people. I am easily pleased (as long as I can find a morning coffee :-D) and really enjoy anything that has an element of adventure, from hiking to reading and extreme sports to photography. I love being creative so photography, cooking, making cards and doing art are all things I like to do. I am more than happy to cook a few thank you meals for you if I stay with you. Being a student doctor means I am also kind, hardworking and tidy.

I have mainly travelled to Africa where I have spent most of my time volunteering my way around different countries. My next big trip after Cyprus is volunteering in hospitals in Viet Nam, Bali and then travelling the Gold Coast with some friends before I start working as a doctor in Liverpool, UK in August 2015.

PHILOSOPHY

Open minded adventure through life. I’ve always felt that we should try to live our lives so as to leave the world a better place. To quote Steve Jobs, we should ‘make a dent in the universe.’

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mainly host friends who are travelling or visiting me in Bristol. I am a keen cook, so enjoy making a big meal and sharing stories with wine and food. Then if people fancy it we can head out for a few drinks to explore the city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a few experiences of couchsurfing and hosting in my time, but not through this website. I have a few friends in bands who always stay with me in Bristol when they have a gig. Its a pretty sweet deal because I get free tickets to the gigs. My friends were supporting Bastille on their last tour. I have spent a lot of time on various friends sofas over the years.

I spent a year volunteering on a 17,000 tonne hospital ship in west africa. We spent 14 days sailing from South Africa to Liberia. The tropical thunderstorms, stars and phosphorescent alagae were particularly awesome. We stopped the ship at the equator and took it in turns to swim in the sea. We were even joined by dolphins!
