About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We are musical tourists; traveling to see bands/artists on tour.
ABOUT ME
I am an image maker whether its printmaking, photography, painting, drawing, pixel pushing first and foremost I am an image maker. I have had a weekly radio program in Sarasota called Lumpytunes! Definitely Difficult Listening on WSLR radio. My show is experimental discordant and harsh noise; but my taste in music is much broader than just that. My wife{Michele) is on the board committee and is the chair of the events committee of the station so we organize and promote lots of live music shows for the station and the community. We are friendly, fun-loving, music-lovers mainly traveling to see the music & art of a region. And hopefully escape the heat of the Florida summer.
PHILOSOPHY
Live the life you want to live- do the things that make you happy and work smart to make your dreams reality- keep drawing. Travel and experience everything you can because life is short. (art is long)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have been to a couple of local(SW Florida) CS gatherings. and we went to NYC Couch Crash 2008, traveling with our friends' band Radio-Free Carmela & The Transmitters who played at the Fest- we met many very fun travelers from far and wide. We have not done much hosting it seems we are always traveling ourselves.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
NYC Couch Crash 2008 was a great time- we met a bunch of great peeps at a variety different functions- I found the group in NYC was very organized which made it seem seamless.
We also couch surf locally with our sister (Radio-Free) Carmela Pedicini who did a EuroCouchCrash/GigSwap in 2010.
Interests
Art: Drawing, painting, photography, print making, computer graphics and motion design, animation, performance- all of it.
Music: I am a DJ/Programmer for our local low power FM radio station my weekly show is called Lumpytunes! Definitely Difficult Listening I play experimental, drone, plunder-phonic, discordant and harsh noise; but my taste in music is much broader than just that. I also fill in for a Bluegrass and Folk/Americana show (I am learning the banjo, yes I've heard that joke...)
I love all kinds of live music and musicians- we love to go to and organize festivals and concerts.
We also love camping and the outdoors- we camp about 2 months a year with our good friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Brazil, Willie Wonka(Gene Wilder is wilder), anything Peter Greenaway, Wes Anderson, or Brothers Quay, I like Campy, corny and avant-garde flix.
Music: South West Florida has a bunch of local/regional bands who are awesome everything from rap to folk to indie, to rock and beyond.
I am drawn to Devo, Pere Ubu, The Residents, Tin Huey, SunRa, as much as I like My Morning Jacket, String Cheese Incident, Phish, Primus, as much as I like Bela Fleck, The Avvett Brothers, Steve Martin & Willie Nelson.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While visiting friends in Idaho we took a harrowing raft ride down the Snake River. We were 4 people in an inflatable rubber raft(other boats on the river looked at us like we were nuts- their boats were aluminum hulls) everything was fine until we got sucked under a huge boulder when we came up my glasses were broke we lost an overnight pack but escaped unhurt otherwise- Now I have a whole new respect for rushing waters.
