ABOUT ME

We are a Colombian and a Portuguese who met in London while living there.
In July 2011 a new cycle in our lives began.
We have been traveling around the world ever since, leaving the UK and the past behind.
We find ourselves more and more interested in alternative projects and thinking, self sustainability and balanced ways of existing, even when it means breaking taboos, formal education, cultural pre-concepts and unquestioned "truths".

Laura: Dancer, work within the arts, children and animal lover. Positive, patient, of a butterfly-like mind.

Daniel: Musician, educator (as far as profession goes).
Passionate about learning in general and still addicted to thinking (too much).
Together we find a comfortable balance to enhance our individually and common qualities.

Previous experiences have offered us the opportunity to put a educational project together that has its focus on children, exploring spontaneous learning through music, movement and positivity. We called it "The Walash Project", meaning child in an ancient language of South America.
We also love nature and are completely committed to environmental causes.
Religion, Politics, Nationalism (and all the "isms"), Football and anything else that creates a false sense of identity and segregates people are just NOT our thing.

We got married on a beach in Colombia in 2010! The 5 elements were the center of the ceremony...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In this world trip we´ve couchsurfed in Turkey, Israel, Egypt, South Africa and Thailand. The experience has been great and full of interesting meetings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We´ve seen the simplicity of the spirit, the complexity of the mind and the resistence of the body.
We´ve done a lot to come this way and chose to follow the heart to remind us who we are.
The big changes we see within, the big mistakes we make outside.

Teach, Learn, Share

In more practical terms, we can teach/share music/musical instruments, dance, cooking, some nice natural "secrets" of health, permaculture concepts, and some "theories" that might not be so politically correct...
We can always share the way we see the world through our experiences, how interesting it may be!
Learn, we can certainly learn a lot! We always do!
