About Me
Hi! My name is Luna, I'm 29 and I'm a freelance Danish Sign Language Interpreter, located in Copenhagen Denmark where I live with my roommate and my wonderful cat Sesam.
I've always been a very extroverted person, curious about life and new experiences. I enjoy meeting new people and, hopefully, making new friendships. I've participated in several meet-ups in Copenhagen and other places, not knowing any of the other participants and always had a wonderful time and returned home with more friends.
In my spare time, I spend a lot of time with friends, going to concerts (all genres and styles really. I just enjoy the atmosphere). Every summer I attend or volunteer at several festivals, most of them in Denmark but I've also attended some abroad.
When I'm not out and about and just relaxing at home, I like to crotchet and in general just be very creative with my hands. I always have some kind of project going - most often several at the same time. I also spend a lot of time reading all kinds of books: fantasy, thrillers, books on history, you name it. I love learning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing, just joined recently, so haven't had the pleasure of staying at someone's place yet, but hoping to get the opportunity soon, on my next trip.
Whenever I've travelled I've always preferred to stay at hostels to meet other people and have that sense of community. Staying at hotels may have been nice, but I've always felt like I was missing out on real, local, authentic experiences.
Now that I've tried youth hostels and such, I thought I would try and take the experience a little bit further and actually stay at someone's place and make the experience even more local and intimate. The best way to see the city is always through the eyes of someone who lives there. I like to learn, whether that through books or peoples life-stories.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy all kinds of films, music and books.
When going to festivals or concerts I tend to go for the more heavy and metal genres, but I've also attended several more pop-rock or acoustic concerts and even a couple of techno-raves. I'm down for pretty much anything musical, as long as the people are nice, open and the music has a beat I can dance to.
In regards to films, it really depends on my mood: some days are Disney days, other days are for documentaries and others for more serious thrillers or action based.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some sign language (danish, so you won't really be able to use it anywhere else, but a few signs between friends are incredibly practical at events with loud music or noise where you can't hear each other).
I can teach you to crochet and how not to rollerskate.
I'm sure I have a lot of stories to share from my life, but I'm actually more interested in hearing about yours, what makes you you, because there most be something really special about you, since you've decided to open up your heart and home for a (for the time being) complete stranger.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my knowledge of my part of the world and I'm an excellent chef, or at least I think I am! So far, I haven't been told otherwise.
I don't have much to give, but I can give you my time and full attention. I've been told I'm a fun, maybe slightly quirky, person and I'm always up for an adventure. No matter what. If I haven't seen it or tried it, I definitely want to.
