Why does a mushroom have so many friends? Because he's a fungi.
Just moved back to Lithuania where I work as a researcher at the local university.
Living right in the centre of Moscow in the historic district of Arbat. Walking distance to all the cool things! Working for some months at RGGU and trying to improve my weak Russian skills. Always up for hosting and parties :)
International student from Austria living in Tartu, Estonia, Vienna, and nowadays even in Moscow
Discovered CS when I was travelling in Scotland after graduating from highschool and got addicted.
Right now trying to master that nordic witchcraft language some people call "Estonian". Working on my PhD in Political Science at a German university while carrying out my reserach project in the Baltic countries on minority identity processes during post-war identity construction.
Finished my undergrad in development studies, but switched to eu/russian studies for my masters now at the
University of Tartu, European College. Inbetween schools I worked as an politics analyst for my government in Washington DC, focusing on the relationship between academics and politics.
I also did quite some filmmaking in Austria, mainly for local indiebands.
I am highly interested and involved in politics, and still follow that probably very naive approach that everyday life can be positivly influenced by smart, evidence based decision making. Topics I am really into are European neighborhood policies and the construction of a European identity, as well as the idea of capitalism as the superior form of economic organization.. I prefer to discuss these things while having beer and liquor :)
Also common dictators have a personal attitude.
