ABOUT ME

I love waking up in the morning - even on Mondays! I get to live my passions and have an acute sense of purpose. I also love a good chat to learn, share and grow. Couchsurfing has been an incredibly rich part of my life since back in 2005...

I'm a runner, so please get ready to recommend places to run, anything from 5km to 100km depending on my mood... ;)

By 2023 I've been to more than 95 countries in the past 24 years and can only be optimistic and positive about the world having received generosity, kindness and hospitality from every kind of person in the world regardless of race, religion, culture or class...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I signed up in 2005 when there were 13,000 members it is now a wonderful CouchSurfing phenomena. I am in it for all the right reasons - to learn, share, experience and be richer for it all (not referring to money here!).

I try to be an active and effective global citizen learning from others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All kinds of folks throughout the entire world, cheers to them and couchsurfing for giving us the opportunity to learn about each other and from each other.

I also got to host a few times while in various places, just as much fun!

Interessen

NATURE. Hiking, camping, anything out in the mountains, forest, desert or anywhere.

TRAVEL. Can't seem to quit it...

Good times with a cleansing ale, meeting new people and learning about cultures.

Built two tiny homes as a part of a program I started called Happy, simply - a sustainable lifestyle model and education project. When I am in Aotearoa New Zealand or Australia I live in them but when I'm not then anyone can stay! - http://happysimply.wordpress.com

Also taught in remote Australian Indigenous Aboriginal communities. The most culturally diverse place I have ever been in over 90 countries and still in my own backyard! To see the spirituality they have with nature, wow!

I'm also a global citizenship educator and have given over 1800 Global Citizen presentations to more than 150,000 people around the world so always willing to give a presentation to a group of people if they are keen...
