Writer, journalist, student of philosophy, adventurer in general. Now based for a few months in Leipzig as I work on my German. I grew up in the Philippines and went to university there, but eventually ended up doing a joint master's degree in philosophy across Europe. That gave me two amazing years in Toulouse, Prague and Louvain-la-Neuve/Brussels. I feel like I should be tired from all this moving around, but it seems I've caught the travel bug!

I always feel like I haven't seen enough of a place until I've met its locals (or at least its long-term residents). I'm always up for a drink with like-minded people. Bonus if it's in the hidden hangouts only true locals would know about.

Intereses

I'm always up for a discussion on a good book or movie. I enjoy talking about different cultures and languages. Depending on my mood, I could spend all night either talking about my new favorite film or about the craziest things I've ever done. Or sometimes, too, if you're up for it, my research interests in philosophy (mostly democratic theory) or queer politics and other emancipatory movements. Or sometimes I'd just really need to hit the dance floor, followed by a nice, slow afternoon at the park the next day.
