ABOUT ME

Hej!
My name is Pontus and I'm living in Lund, but I'm studying Logistics Service Management in Helsingborg.
I love to cook and I've also made my own cook book. By traveling in Asia and the Pacific area for half a year in 2010 I rediscovered my passion for the Asian cuisine and the love for New Zealand and Vietnam.
I'm a social and curious person with an open mind and with an natural interest in other cultures and people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to help those who want to learn more about my culture, the country I live in and to help creating a trustworthy network system around the globe. I also encourage people to get verified as this will not only increase your CS-replies, but also give this site a more serious look outwards.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CS experiences have most of the time been awesome, and some of the people I've met during my travels and here in Sweden will have a special place in my heart. The following people listed is to me the most important and deserves recognition!

SURFING 2010
*Penchan Baldwin (Bangkok, Thailand)
Penchan (Or Natalie which is her western name) hosted me in Bangkok in late May to early June after I've met her in Saigon. Without hesitation she invited me to her home in the BKK suburbs. We had a very nice time and I got to experience the real BKK, away from the tourist ghetto. She will always have a standing invitation to my home and I hope we meet soon again!

*Brian Mullane (Wellington, New Zealand)
Brian hosted me with quick notice in Wellington NZ in May and welcomed me in to his home with open arms. We shared some delicious dinners together and I had a very nice stay. Brian is very keen of making sure you have everything you need and he even paid for my hat and gloves before I went further south :-). A nicer person is hard to find. Even though I never gained the trust of his cats, I'm sure they were familiar with having a lot of visitors in the house. I wouldn't be surprised if Brian turned out to be the most hospitable person in Wellington!

*Ian Morgan (Perth, Australia)
Without question Ian picked me up at Perth airport at 5 am(!!) and drove me to his home. He lived in a nice villa outside the city center and I really felt welcomed by his hospitality.

*Jean Michel Piquemal (Carros, France)
Jean Michel helped me with accommodation when i was stranded in Nice due to communication problems with the other CS. He came and picked me up and when I look back I'm glad it didn't work out with the first CS, because I got to have a perfect weekend with Jean Michel in his town, Carros. He is very friendly and we shared some really good dinners and he showed me around in the area with the beautiful mountains and olive gardens.
I hope to see Jean Michel again some day in the future!

兴趣

I have this natural passion for cooking food and I can't really imagine my life without it. Traveling is of course a major interest for me as well. Other than that it's always nice to have a nice book by your side, watch a good movie or just spend time with the people that you love.
