About Me

learn about other cultures and their way of living. meet new and inspiring people of all walks of life. aquire more technical skills to realize my designs and get into the entertainment industry.

I'm almost unable to hold a grudge longer than 2 seconds.i like to think of myself as a very friendly person, so if you think i was being rude it most likely came out wrong.i myself am not very religious but i deeply respect anyone else's religious beliefs. (so if you can't eat pork it does make me sad because you will miss out on some amazing sausage but i'll do my best to find something else that's nice for you.)

life can be bitter and people can be... you know, assholes, but don't let that take away your positive attitude, your humor and good nature.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

if i'm in town at the time and my place is not covered in drawings, model making utensils and materials people are always welcome to visit in magdeburg and crash on the couch or on a spare mattress.

i'd be happy to show you guys around!

so far terriffic! :)

art and design in general, but particularily product design and design for movies and games.i'm also very big on traditional crafts and like working with my hands.oh, and i looooooooove food, especially hot and spicy food. i'm always curious to try something new.among my favourite dishes so far are okonomiyaki, pelmeni, gumbo, penne alla arrabiata, german or italian style roast saddle of venison, mulligatawny soup, french-swiss cheese fondue, bibimbab with lots of kimchi... i could go on and on. :)while i can live without sweets if i must, i do enjoy a good black forest cake or a frankfurt crown cake.or for a snack, my most recent discovery: chinese preserved hawthorn sticks... YUM!oh, and cocktails are also big on my list, my absolute favourite being the swimmingpool.

Music, Movies & Books

as i am a true movie nut and it is my ultimate goal to work in that industry i enjoy very different kinds of movies for very different reasons.running the risk of being pidgeonholed now i might give a few examples:story and/or humour: everything is illuminated, leon the professional, brazil, spinal tap, the hudsucker proxy...design and/or sets and props: star wars, matrix, duncan jones' moon, ghost in the shell, blade runner, lord of the rings, harry potter, pan's labyrinth, and anything miyazaki.i also listen to all kinds of music, depending on where I am and what I'm doing. it could be pretty much anything in terms of genre.i do have some favourite artists though. to give you some examples:floex (tomas dvorak, composer on machinarium), hiroki kikuta (composer on secret of mana), daft punk, dredg (strictly only pre-"pariah" album...),bob marley, fat freddy's drop, tchaikovsky, shantel....books are too time-consuming for my lifestyle at the moment, but i particularily enjoyed these in the past:his dark materials by philipp pullman, extremely loud and incredibly close by jonathan s. foer, kafka on the shore by haruki murakami, atlas shrugged by ayn rand

One Amazing Thing I've Done

i survived a year in southern oklahoma.i survived a semester of props at nida. (sydney)i ate a bag full of mangoes sitting on the cliffs by shelly beach watching the sun set over manly (sydney).i went to manhattan on my own and had my first and best okonomiyaki and takoyaki at otafuku.i had the best cigarette and cup of coffee of my life on a friend's balcony overlooking french quarter in new orleans.i went to a wedding in a mansion in the polish countryside and experienced 3 days of the best home-made polish food, vodka, and partying.met the most amazing person in the least expected place!
