About Me

I never know what to write on these. My favorite food is french fries. I would say I'm an avid long distance runner, but the Chicago marathon humbled me. I'm trying really hard to cut back on coffee. I love monastrell, but other full bodied red wines do the trick. I wasn't sure what I would do after graduating college, so I got a cat. Her name is Harper, she's a saucy little tabby. I prefer to shop for used clothing. I'm running out of things to say about myself so just ask :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I grew up in a small town in Iowa so I'm looking to expand my horizons past fields of corn. I’m interested in traveling abroad some day and perhaps hosting in the future!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to music, but I'm still learning how to appreciate stadium country... Some of my favorite artists are The Tallest Man on Earth, Dr. Dog, and Andrew Bird.
A novel that I've been constantly recommending is Nod by Adrian Barnes. It's a Sci-Fi were everyone is suddenly unable to sleep.
I've yet to watch the classics, but I'm mostly into indie/ international films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I finished the 2017 Chicago Marathon!

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't underestimate us Iowans, some of us are pretty cool. I'm a pretty good cook and I don't mind pitching in to help clean.

Countries I’ve Lived In
