I'm a trip leader with Backroads, an active travel company. That means I'm a cycling tour guide and I work all over Europe. When I'm not working I'm traveling, cycling some more or meeting new people and learning new things. I'm very passionate about people and about bettering myself.

I've recently begun teaching myself French and have moved to France to try and speed up the process.

Being small and female I have found people don't expect much from me which has made me incredibly stubborn and passionate about things - There's nothing I can't do. If a challenge presents itself to me, I'll get it done.

I am on CS because I really enjoy meeting new people and immersing myself in other cultures around the world. I think CS is a great way for travellers to get something extra out of their travels by making new friends and seeing places through the eyes of those that already live there.

My CS experiences have all been fantastic. The amazing generosity shown by people from this online community is immense. During my travels through Europe and cycling in Ireland I have stayed with men, women and families all diverse and individual who have given me treasured memories I wont be forgetting soon.

Without CS traveling would not have been half as interesting or exciting. Especially visiting places I never would have been to if it hadn't been for our CS hosts.

I am vegetarian and I love to cook vegetarian food and prove to people it's not just salad and a load of old lentils.

I also grew up in a performing family - we're all actors. So if you like the theatre or just want to chat about Drama, I'm all ears.

I hope I can be not just a guest/host but a friend and bring my curiosity and eagerness to explore. I am keen to get to really know people and find out their interests and stories they have to tell. This initiative is about sharing as well as providing a bed (or couch) for the night.
