About Me

My travels in my 20s has opened up my world, provided me with deep life lessons, and plenty of sentimental moments that stay dear to my heart. I've worked in hospitality in my travels, and currently house sit in exchange whenever I travel. I missed the couchsurfing boom but am optimistic about giving it a go in this era!

The first half of 2026 will be filled with me painting my home, doing up some rooms (to welcome guests like you!), and reviving my house plants. Outside of that, I'm active in my dance community and will be attending and volunteering at international dance festivals. Eyeing some travels to Aus mid winter till late Spring 🌼

STRICTLY not dating. I'll happily report you, otherwise :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘐 𝘏𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘎𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘴

I value creativity, community, service and generosity amongst many other things and hope to welcome like-minded people to cross paths. I'm looking to open my doors to fresh eyes while I rediscover what it's like living and setting roots again back in my home country in Malaysia. It's a sweet way of travelling through someone else while I am home :)

𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘺 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥

I reckon travel will find its newfound purpose in my life again and while I am setting roots back home, I am being open to my next chapter of travel to begin when it's time. Please share your travel insights with me!

I was reviewing my year at the end of 2025 and decided I would explore opening up my home to fellow travellers as a way to meet amazing new people. I have been scouring the couchsuring website and feeling deeply inspired over how I would like to be part of the CS community from avid CouchSurfers and Hosts. Come join me in my hosting adventure for 2026!

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore animals and welcome any experience to be with them.

𝘌𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘌𝘯𝘫𝘰𝘺𝘦𝘥
Being musically moved by Olafur Arnalds, and catching some of his collaborative work in a dome cinema and having a cathartic sob

Growing up with songs sung by my grandma of The Sound of Music, and catching that one rare musical in my home country with my dad when I was 12

Attended 3 concerts by Post Modern Jukebox in Malaysia, US, and Aus throughout my 20s

Indulgingly reading Tales of Accidental Genius by Simon van Booy which is a fictional anthology of stories that deeply resonated with my soul at the point of time

I have fairly dissociated myself from digital consumption and use from 2019 but redefined how these may enter and influence my life again - it is a battle with how socmed is designed to keep us addicted! And ultimately, how I prioritise being connected with loved ones.

🍽️ Food:
All the chinese noodles, hands down. If you make it, I'll likely find it more delicious 🤤 I've worked in F&B and travelled for food, so I've tasted the world. What matters to me now is how I mindfully consume for nourishment and appreciation of culture and mastery, and more importantly with who 😋

𝘉𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘓𝘪𝘴𝘵 2026
Watch The Odyssey on 70mm IMAX down in Melb. I caught Oppenheimer this way by accident, playing tourist in a small suburb in Melb and wondered what I could do to fill the evening. Arguably found it more feminist than Barbie and wished I wasn't swept with the hype.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked and travelled for a summer in Alaska back in 2019.

I lived in a cabin by the lake, saw plenty of wildlife like 'meese' :p, brown grizzly bears and cubs, eagles courting each other in the sky, sockeye salmon make their annual jump up the river, and swimming through the lake. Not to mention the countless seals, sealions, puffins, whales. I had the opportunity to devour raw salmon roe out of freshly caught and cut salmon.

Achieved a simple child's dream of selling ice cream (yes, that's the dream) on the 4th of July, and enjoyed the fireworks by the harbour.

Solo tripped to other small towns around Alaska and enjoyed the summer festivals, camping in a tent on someone's lawn, making stranger friends along the way and picking up hitchhikers, had a profound spiritual awakening (no substances, pure conscious living and tapping into your inner peace and natural high)

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been teaching mindful floral arrangement in the women circles I hosted for the past two years. 2026 seems like a new blank slate, and I'm taking this year to set a physical foundation in my home and dance community.

Let's share kindness, laughter and great memories, and a good Malaysian meal!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Depending on what creative phase I'm at, I've left my house sit owners home made treats, DIY oil blends, postcards and the occasional personalised gift.

I have a few travel stories up my sleeve but otherwise I enjoy listening and gaining inspiration from others.

Happy to return the hosting favour while I'm in Malaysia, or house sitting during my travels as I've regularly done so down in Australia 🦘
