À propos de moi

Hi! My name is Lydia and I’m 28 y/o. I am a third culture kid who has lived all over the place. My parents are Taiwanese / Chinese and I grew up in South Africa then Taiwan where I attended international school. I studied Sociology at an undergrad at a small liberal arts school in the Midwest U.S. then afterwards worked in the Bay Area for a few years.

Travel has been my way of life since I was a kid going between South Africa and Taiwan so much. My first major solo trip was to Mongolia at 17 years old where I lived with a nomad family for a few weeks. I volunteered on a game reserve in South Africa the summer after, then the year after spent 6 months backpacking through India and Nepal. Then the year after I spent a summer in the Dominican Republic and the fall studying abroad in Berlin. During the years after college, I traveled around the US a fair amount as well. I had been saving up to travel and work on my own creative projects and I am in the midst of that journey now. Since quitting I got the chance to travel Pakistan, Thailand, and South India a bit. Currently on a multi-month trip solo traveling through China.

I feel very lucky to have traveled so much and seen a lot of the world. I enjoy meeting and getting to know people throughout my travels and love hearing about how travel has changed peoples lives. I look forward to continuing these adventures and continue learning about the world and meeting others who love doing the same!
