I'm a late-20s person working in publishing/literary events. I haven't gotten to do a ton of traveling outside the US, but I'm excited to start making more time for it. Books are my great love, but I'm pretty obsessed with my dog too.
As a guest, I'm pretty quiet and very neat and conscientious (I'm a woman raised in the southern US, so of course). I like people around me to be comfortable, and I love listening to people's stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling to Japan this summer, and I'd love to meet some cool people rather than staying hotels all alone.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm not the best at keeping up with new bands, but I have pretty open taste and a soft spot for classical.
Movies: My favorites ever are Coraline, Princess Mononoke, The Princess Bride, The Big Sleep, and I've Loved You So Long. I like pretty much everything but the gore-fests.
Books: I love books, especially international literary, YA, and Sci-fi/Fantasy. I work in publishing and at a bookstore, so I could talk about books for a million years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked with wolves (and people--mostly people) at the International Wolf Center and even was bitten by a wolf.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to share my passion for and knowledge of books, but I understand not everyone is a fanatic like me. I'd be happy to pass on what I know of embroidery and sewing, if anyone was interested.
I love to learn new phrases and words from other languages, and love trying new foods.
Some of my favorite things to do while traveling are hiking and exploring, and I'd love to share those activities with any hosts that wanted to join.
