Resumen
Sobre mí
I'm a florist living in Auckland, New Zealand with my partner Isaac (a glass blower), our son Mateo and cat, Chino. We like meeting new people and having people to stay, our home is close to public transport, easy to get to airport and good central location to start exploring Auckland.
PLEASE NOTE: due to our sometimes busy work schedule and having a small child we can only host people for a MAXIMUM 3 NIGHTS.
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
The best way to explore a new city / country is to connect with locals! I love that couch surfing offers this - its like having local travel friends all over the world. I also agree with the philosophy of trust and exchange which couch surfing relies on to be successful.

Música, películas y libros
Music - a bit of everything really but lately I've been listening to the suitably wintery sounds of Marlon Williams, Future islands, the war on drugs, The Velvet underground and Fleetwood Mac, of course.
The NZ International film festival is my go-to for great movies, I especially love inspiring documentaries from all around the world, also Dirty Dancing as my cult classic.
A few books I've read lately and loved: The Lacuna, How to be a Woman, Brokeback mountain short stories by Annie Proulx and a few of Bill Brysons books. Wish I had more time for reading!
My favourite cookbooks are Yotam Ottolenghis 'Plenty' and 'Plenty More' and 'The Moosewood Cookbook' by Mollie Katzen.
Algo increíble que he hecho
Swimming with dolphins!
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
A quiet, private room in a friendly safe household. Sharing cooking and meals is always lovely. Happy to give advice on great places to visit around Auckland and rest of NZ, especially the Hauraki Gulf and Great Barrier Island - where we are building a tiny (holiday) home and spend our summer break. A valley, a river, sea access only and limited cell phone reception :)
