About Me

I am an artist who started as a scientist. Sometimes people think these are unrelated fields but I think they both spring from a child's curiosity of the universe and we all have that gift! I'm laid-back, outgoing and open minded. I love inspiring and sharing with others. I think traveling and creating relationships are the best ways to learn in life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to travel and meet new people and hear their story. I think sharing culture and experiences while making new friends is one of the most exciting opportunities to create positive change in the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Though I signed up for an account a while back, I am actually fairly new to the whole experience so I am excited to check it out and hope I can share and contribute something worthwhile to the community!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to everything including country but currently a lot of hip-hop, bachata, and punk. I like watching documentaries, weird artsy and also old movies, film noir and french new wave, Wong Kar Wai films, kung fu flicks and animation (Studio Ghibli!).
Some authors I like include Haruki Murakami, Nabakov, Jane Austen, and Jorge Luis Borges. I also like reading science fiction, also I've started to read a lot of self development books recently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can tell you in person, it's more fun that way!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can speak English and Mandarin Chinese fluently and a little Japanese.
I am good at making and crafting things, doing things like art, music, and dancing. I love to cook and I eat pretty much anything. I love learning and listening.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have some jokes and stories. I can play the piano if you have one. Since I'm a creative type and pretty good cook, I am always willing to share these talents with new friends :)
