Scottish but apparently don't sound like it. Grew up on the west coast of Scotland then studied and worked on the east.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I have found that the way I love to travel is to visit friends, because they can show the real life behind the place I am visiting; can lead me away from the obvious tourist spots and take me to hidden but interesting parts of wherever I am. Having your own personal tour guide just makes the experience so much better than what you could achieve on your own!
Couchsurfing lets me do this in countries where I do not already know someone, giving me someone 'to know'

I love reading and again, pretty open minded about books. Tend to head first for the travel books and cookbook section in a shop though...
