Hi, My name is Lyndon Arundell and I am from new Zealand. I grew up in a small village in the south island of NZ and spent my secondary school years at a boarding school in Christchurch. I come from a family of six, and I have two sisters and brother. I am currently on a Gap year and have just finished volunteering in poland for five months. I am traveling with my girlfriend Nicola Paterson who also has a couch surfing account

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to couch surfing by my sister who backpacked around Europe for 4 months last year and used it a lot! She said that she found it a great way to meet locals and highly recommended it. Travelling around Europe I would love to have the chance to see places through the eyes of people that live there. I hosted 5 travelers before I left New Zealand to see what couch surfing was about and loved learning about their cultures. It is awesome how you can come to know people so well when at first they were only strangers!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music, from base drops to country, but some of my favourite artists are imagine dragons, phillip phillips, 21 pilots and kid cudi.

My family are obsessed with movies, we don't have a conversation without movie references! I love Tarantino movies, they are so funny, like pulp fiction and hateful eight. Inglorious bastards is hilarious.

For books I love crime thrillers, like James Patterson books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-I Won the New Zealand national secondary schools clay target shooting championships as a team.
- I have Bungee jumped in Queenstown.
- I have rock-climbed blindfolded

I can help people practice and understand English as it is my first language, I couild add in some kiwi slang as well!
New Zealand is more than the All Blacks and sheep, I can share my culture with people, and I would love to learn more about other people's cultures as well.
