I am currently working as a nanny for a family in Ottawa, and then I help out on the family farm on the weekends. It is a weird combination but it makes life a little more fun because they are so different from each other!

I have couchsurfed before but it was through my friend's account since we were travelling together and I didn't have my own account. It was a great experience! I was a little worried at first - not going to lie haha but it all worked out! Once I have a place of my own I will definitely be accepting guests because I think it's such a great way to travel and meet local people.

Baking, reading, hanging out with friends, playing games, my dog. I know I am going to sound like a granny - but I am planning out a scrapbook with all my pictures from my travels. It seemed like too much of a waste to not put the photos in an album!

I love pretty much all music but I have not been able to get into heavy metal music. My mom is a piano teacher and both my sisters play piano and violin - so I have listened to much classical music in my life - not a favourite of mine either - but I can appreciate it.
I love watching mostly all movies except horror movies. They are terrifying. My friends used to trick me into watching them by telling me we were going to watch a movie I would like and then suddenly change it to some horror movie. Not cool.
I love books that don't make me fall asleep - right now I'm reading a book called The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.

I surfed in South Africa! I think that was one of the coolest things I have ever done. I was not good at it - but it sure was fun. At first I was terrified that a shark was going to eat me - but you get so caught up with just trying to stand up on the board that you forget all about it.

I can teach or just make you bread, buttertarts, any dessert, or cook you a meal. I am always open to learning new things whatever it may be! I would love to learn as much as I can about Iceland - the language, food, etc.
