Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Every once in a while it is a great treat to sit in a hotel room by yourself at night and marvel at the vapid excesses of cable tv, but maybe not more than once every few years. It is a much bigger treat to be able to meet new people in their homes - the people who open up their homes to travelers are exactly the people I want to meet! Love to intersect with other sharing-oriented people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm. This is tough. I gave my niece a place to live when she came out of prison and gave her the best possible chance to get back on her feet. I'm really proud of that one. I was in a music video for the Pogues (punk-Irish icons) in the 1980s. I got arrested salvaging terra cotta from a downtown St. Louis building that was being demolished. What a waste!
