I joined Couchsurfing specifically because it gives me the opportunity to cook great Thai food for my lovely hosts ;)
no but also it's a great way of getting to know the city and its culture, through its local people, while also sharing about your country

- lived in a country that I knew nothing of for one whole year and became part of a family I was not born into and made friends with people from all continents
- I type this right now from some random bunkhouse in the middle of the forest, after biking in the cold rain and coming back to take an outdoor shower and almost couldnt breathe because the water was freezing
