About Me
**Traveling until after the holidays**
I have the tendency to move a lot, so I'm currently in the process of dwindling my belongings down to only what I can fit in my car. Perhaps I'm a bit restless... Luckily my job keeps my physical body moving: I'm a certified Iyengar yoga instructor.
**Update: After a lovely 9 months in Portugal, I've now landed in South Korea. I'll be teaching English here for the next year!**
I try to stay healthy through yoga and being conscious about the foods I cook and eat. Unfortunately where I'm living now I do not have a garden, but I'd like to own and tend a garden again someday.
This summer and fall I've been learning to sail! It's my dream to one day own my own sailboat. Perhaps even live on one. I'm also learning to play the ukulele. Sailing around the world playing my uke would be delightful...
Overall, if I didn't have to do things like pay bills, I'd ideally love to spend my time traveling, meeting new people and drinking red wine with them, and listening to podcasts when moving about alone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I might have a couch for you to crash on depending on my housemates. Otherwise I'm up for meeting up on the weekends. I'm new to the area so I wouldn't be much of a tour guide yet, but I'd be interested in exploring with you!
Interests
Yoga - obviously. Traveling - again, obvious. Podcasts! I love National Public Radio (NPR) podcasts like This American Life, Planet Money, and Radiolab. I'm especially drawn to Radiolab because it blends science with the bigger questions that science often fails to answer completely. It fits my personality well: I'm analytical and skeptical, yet I believe in so much more than I can rationally explain.
