ABOUT ME

I'm a social, direct, open and openminded geek, who has just moved to Germany from Finland couple of months ago. I enjoy getting to know people, and new experiences in general. I think there is nearly never a reason to be bored. In Helsinki I spent a whole lot of time dancing Brazilian zouk, somehow it just captured my heart. Here that dance does not exist yet, but I'm hoping to change that.

I meet people for coffee, host them when I can, and meet others on my travels and in my new home town.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted some people, and stayed at others. I really enjoy spending time with people who are passionate about something: their hobby, some time of music, even their job, and having discussions with them.

Interests

Brazilian zouk, dancing, Linux, boardgames, GTD, parkour, running, free software. Nowadays also other dancing, to some degree. Hennessy hammocks. I'm also very easily interested in many new things. Any place has very many interesting things to see and experience.

Books: Greg Egan, Greg Bear, science fiction in general, non-fiction of various sorts.
Movies: science fiction, thrillers, non-romantic comedies, anything with a plot.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a retired corsetmaker, and can happily teach stuff related to that, from pattern drafting to the construction.

I can teach you the basic step of zouk, the dance I love.

I can try to teach Finnish, of course.

I'm eager to learn most things.
