Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some of our favorite travel experiences have happened because of Couchsurfing. I think it’s one of the best ways to make traveling feel more personal and to connect with locals and other travelers instead of just passing through places :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling has given us so many great moments, it’s hard to pick just one!

We once bought a minivan in Canada and spent 6 months living on the road, traveling across the country. Along the way, we worked on a farm and somehow ended up driving huge harvesting machines.

I also walked the Camino del Norte when I was 17 (about 1000 km along the coast of Spain) which was a pretty special experience.

In Southeast Asia, we did a few motorbike trips and one time got spontaneously invited by a woman in a small, remote village to stay at her place overnight, which turned into one of those really special evenings, sitting together and sharing stories over dinner :)

And in Sri Lanka, we traveled for 4 weeks in our own little red tuk-tuk, picking up locals along the way!

It’s a mix of big adventures and small, unexpected moments that make it all so memorable :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy exchanging ideas, perspectives and experiences. We can share some basics about photography and videography, playing the piano, and cooking :)
And we’re always curious to learn new things from others! Whether it’s skills, stories or different ways of seeing the world. Right now, I’d love to dive deeper into things like pottery, knitting or crocheting, sewing, growing plants, hands-on projects, playing music and moooore :)
